Video conference: Christian Messier

How can we build a forest that can adapt to unpredictable events?

After an initial conference to mark the 125th anniversary of the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium in 2018, the Quebec professor Christian Messierprofessor and researcher at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Department of Biological Sciences) and the Université du Québec en Outaouais (Department of Natural Sciences), honoured us with a second meeting, in the presence of the various players in the forestry and wood industry, at our December Board meeting.

If fears about the future of our forests are many, Professor Messier's vision of the future encourages us to act: solutions exist to increase the resilience of our forests and are based on the way species function. An invigorating conference that encourages us to work together to build the forest of tomorrow.
