In the ancient Ardennes forest, where man and nature meet ...?
Le 20 October 2024 - Vresse-sur-Semois
Set off on a 3.5km family walk along an easy forest track. During our walk through a magnificent old-growth forest on the heights of Vresse-sur-Semois, we'll discover the wealth of different sustainably-managed woods (PEFC and FSC), the identity and personality of each tree, the basics of forest science, forest stories... The challenge of collaboration between man and forest.
Make sure you have the right equipment for the weather and the muddy forest paths. Dogs must be kept on a lead and be sociable. The walk is not currently accessible to PRMs (but adapted walks are possible on special request).
The Royale Forestry Society of Belgium (RFSB) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the forest and foresters. Its Forest Friends projects are aimed at the general public who want to understand the forest environment. The RFSB's volunteer Forest Guides will help you discover the forest as a source of life, in close contact with mankind.
