First international meeting of the ForDiL project: a promising launch!

This first meeting marks the official launch of the project, supported by the Erasmus+ programme. This ambitious project aims to promote the learning of continuous cover forestry (CCF) independently thanks to innovative digital tools.

The project partners – SRFB (Belgium), Mendel University (Czech Republic), Institut Genech (France), Institut Technique Horticole de Gembloux (Belgium) and Centre de Développement Agroforestier de Chimay (Belgium) – have come together for an initial international meeting.

This key moment allowed the teams to get to know each other better, both on a personal and institutional level. It was also a question of defining the common vision of the project and establishing a clear working framework for the different aspects of ForDiL:

  • The main stages of the project and the distribution of contributions from each partner
  • The educational infrastructure and tools to be developed, including hammer scopes, work scopes and a digital application dedicated to CCF approach.
  • The educational approach, with enriching exchanges between the educational organisations involved.

ForDiL: visual identity

This first meeting also saw a symbolic decision: the choice of the project name, logo and baseline. Shortly after this meeting, ForDiL for Forest Digital Learning was officially born, with a clear visual identity reflecting its ambitions.

A collective project for a more resilient forest

All the partners are now motivated to make ForDiL a reality and offer forestry managers and students training tools adapted to current and future challenges. Everything is in place... Let's go!
