Cross-border forest game damage excursion
Le 28 June 2024 - Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
Objectives
Achieving a sylvo-cynégétique balance means regularly defining the stage at which the development of wild fauna, regulated by hunting, allows the forest to recover and regenerate naturally, itself undergoing change as a result of the actions of foresters.
Over the course of the day, we will discover the different types of damage caused by large ungulates, learn how to quantify them and discuss the hunting measures that can be put in place, as well as silvicultural approaches that could discourage game from taking advantage of young plantations.
Speakers
- Michel Dostert, Lëtzebuerger Privatbësch
- Pierre BormannPEFC Forest Certification Manager, SRFB
