Getting to grips with forest management day
Where do you start when you inherit a piece of woodland?
What work will I have to do if I buy a piece of woodland?
This is what more than 70 new or future forest owners in Roy (Marche-en-Famenne) on Sunday.

They were able to practise:
- Mark a thinning
- Estimate the tree volume (cuber)
- Identify defects and qualities of a tree
- Understanding the importance of PEFC certification
- Analyse the soil of a plot to be reforested
- Discover all the biodiversity of a forest
- Learn how to pruning and trimming trees
- Identify objective trees in a plot.
It's an opportunity to learn new skills and forge new links between foresters!
