This is what more than 70 new or future forest owners in Roy (Marche-en-Famenne) on Sunday.

Measuring a trunk for cubing

They were able to practise:

  • Mark a thinning
  • Estimate the tree volume (cuber)
  • Identify defects and qualities of a tree
  • Understanding the importance of PEFC certification
  • Analyse the soil of a plot to be reforested
  • Discover all the biodiversity of a forest
  • Learn how to pruning and trimming trees
  • Identify objective trees in a plot.

It's an opportunity to learn new skills and forge new links between foresters!
