Objectives
Forests are burning all over the world. Until now, Belgium has been relatively spared the scourge of forest fires.
Unfortunately, climate change and all its upheavals are likely to increase the risk of fire.
At this conference, we will have the opportunity to welcome Mr Savazzi, a French expert working for the ONF on this subject. Mr Savazzi will explain how a forest fire ‘physically’ works, how it is fought and how it is organised in France. We will then welcome Mr Verrue from the DNF, who will explain how the administration and emergency services are organised in our region.
