Alive on every floor

Artistic - Scientist - Systemic

Forest types, soil life, forest strata.

10 to 12 years

Objectives

  • Learning to cooperate.
  • Create a collective work highlighting the layering of our forests and the living creatures that inhabit them, based on the observations and knowledge of the participants.

Realisation

CARAH asbl (Cellule Forêt Nature Environnement), Hout Info Bois asbl, Royal Forestry Society of Belgium, with the educational support and co-designer of Empreintes asbl and with the support of the European Regional Development Fund (Interreg Va - Forêt Pro Bos).

Description

The participants create a collaborative work representing the living beings observed at all levels of the forest. The activity shows the wealth of life in the different strata of the forest: arborescent, shrubby, herbaceous and muscular! It's a great way to make links with other activities that look in depth at the little creatures of the soil, identifying trees, discovering mushrooms, etc.
