Since 2011, the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium (Société Royale Forestière de Belgique) has been offering financial and technical assistance for reforestation projects in Belgium, thanks to the support of partner companies.
What are the project selection criteria?
Following the health and climate crises, the SRFB has decided to focus this aid on forest restoration. From now on, you can benefit from aid for :
- to be a member of the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium (Société Royale Forestière de Belgique) in order of contribution Pendant at least 5 years.
- les reboisements de parcelles qui ont subi un aléa climatique ou biologique ayant réduit le revenu potentiel de la coupe si elle avait été faite à terme sur des arbres sains. Dans cette catégorie, l’on retrouve les reboisements après coupe rase d’épicéas scolytés, une coupe anticipée de frênes chalarosés, des chablis, un incendie, autre dégât sanitaire ayant causé la récolte anticipée ou la dépréciation des bois
- les nouveaux boisements : boisement de terre agricole
- les reboisements innovants : enrichissement de régénérations naturelles par la technique des plantations en cellule (Klump), plantation d’essences nouvelles…
In addition to these criteria, SRFB selects projects on the basis of their geographical spread and the financial resources made available by the companies taking part. Plant a tree ".
We operate on the basis of corporate sponsorship, so the number of applications we can take on is limited. We do everything we can to enable everyone to apply for aid.
