Discovering the forest and management methods
Le 18 October 2024 - Durbuy
This woodland walk invites you to observe wooded plots and gain a better understanding of how forests are managed, how the growth of large trees can be encouraged and how foresters can rely on natural regeneration. 4 km circuit.
Meet at 1.45pm for a 2pm departure. Boots are useful as some of the paths are muddy. Dress warmly as there are plenty of stops along the way. For adults and young people aged 12 and over. Dogs will not be interested in the explanations, so leave them at home.
The Société Royale Forestière de Belgique (SRFB) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to forests and foresters. Its Forest Friends projects are aimed at the general public who want to understand the forest environment. The SRFB's volunteer Forest Guides will help you discover the forest as a source of life, in close contact with mankind.
