Objective

This training course is intended for people who wish to go further in the practice of marking trees in a stand, and in the silvicultural work adapted to natural regeneration with regard to the principles of continuous cover forestry (CCF).

It will help owners in particular to apply this close-to-nature forestry with a view to moving towards the uneven-aged management of a stand.

Owners will themselves draw up an assessment of the composition and structure of the stand by establishing a typological inventory. This will enable them to take ownership of the guiding objectives of the marking specific to the stand and to undertake diverse and reasoned felling choices.

At the end of the brainstorming session, each group's results will be visualised and explained using both simple and more complex indicators.

The training will also highlight the good practices to adopt for silvicultural work in natural regeneration.
