The future of poplar in the face of climate change
The CPH, in partnership with various Walloon, Flemish and French organisations including the SRFB, took part in an interesting discussion on the future of poplar.
A day of discussion on the future of poplars in the face of climate change. The diversity of poplars offers numerous opportunities for landowners to integrate this species and this silviculture model into the need to diversify forests.
The timber industry is also increasing the diversity of uses for poplar wood: sawing, peeling for many new uses.
The biodiversity associated with populiculture also offers semi-open environments that complement the forests.
