INTERNSHIP OFFER – a trainee gardener to be trained under the #IFAPME scheme (M/F)

Contract duration: 6 months from 1st October 2026 to 31st March 2027 (1 day per week) OR 3 months between October and January (2 days per week) for a total of 250 hours

Workplace: our premises are located in Gembloux and the sites will be located in the Ciney and Bertrix regions. Morning meetings will always be held in Gembloux

Type of work: The learner will be integrated into the planting team for the MigFoRest project, the objective of which is to establish forest enrichment plantations with a view to adapting them to climate change. Specifically, this will involve: 

  • Prepare planting areas: clearing undergrowth and small tree felling
  • Construct wooden lattices to protect plantations from game damage
  • Lay the battens in the forest in the prepared areas
  • Planting forest seedlings (bare-rooted and with root balls) in prepared areas
  • Maintain previous years' plantings (training prune, clearance)
  • Opportunity to participate occasionally in company life outside of site work (attend forestry training, help with logistics, participate in team meetings, etc.)

Who can apply? This offer is exclusively for first-year apprentices on the gardener course at IFAPME.
