Climate change does not stop at national borders! That's why, alongside the #<\/span>Arboretums<\/span><\/span>SRFB is forging links with similar projects in neighbouring countries.
In France, in the Grand Est region, the Office national des for\u00eats (ONF), the Centre national de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 foresti\u00e8re (CNPF) and the association des communes foresti\u00e8res are setting up a project called \"\u00eelots d'avenir\".
Its aim is to set up trial plots withec of new species potentially adapted to the expected future climate and to study their management behaviour. The SRFB is associated with this project as a methodological partner. This cooperation allows us to exchange ideas, experiences, protocols, seed supplies and, of course, results.
This week, a visit to potential sites in the primary Ardennes (the French extension of the Ardennes massif to the south of Givet) was organised by the ONF and the SRFB. The special feature of these sites is that they will be treated according to the Belgian protocol and will be included in the Arboretums database. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
